What the employee does at the door
Four screens, large buttons, readable outdoors at night. There is no training day.
Scan the recipient's ID
The employee points the phone at the PDF417 barcode on the back of the physical ID. Age and expiration are calculated on the spot — no typing, no mental math, no guessing at a birth year in the dark.
Confirm the person at the door
Photo match, recipient physically present, physical ID inspected, not visibly intoxicated. One clear confirmation per screen so nothing gets skipped in a rush.
Capture the signature
The recipient signs on the employee's phone and the handoff closes with a unique verification code the manager can look up later.
Keep the record
Every delivery leaves a permanent record of what the employee confirmed and when. Records cannot be edited after the fact — a manager can only add an internal note.
Refusals are handled, not improvised
An underage recipient or an expired ID stops the delivery with a full-screen STOP result. The employee selects the reason and the refusal becomes part of the record — which is exactly the situation a restaurant most wants documented.

Verify the delivery without building an ID database.
The ID barcode is processed to determine whether the recipient is at least 21 and whether the ID is expired. Gopliancy does not retain the recipient's full date of birth, driver's-license number, address from the ID, raw barcode contents or an image of the ID.
The restaurant receives the verification outcome and handoff record — not a copy of the customer's identity document.
Gopliancy reads the ID barcode and checks age and expiration. It does not determine whether an ID is physically genuine — the employee still inspects the physical ID and confirms it appears valid and matches the recipient.
