PDF417 barcode scanning
The camera reads the barcode on the back of a supported physical driver's license or state ID. Works one-handed, in low light, at arm's length.
Automatic 21+ calculation
Age is calculated from the ID data instead of being read and estimated by a person under time pressure.
ID expiration check
An expired ID produces a stop result rather than a judgment call.
Photo-match confirmation
The employee confirms the person in front of them matches the photo on the ID they physically inspected.
Presence and sobriety confirmations
Separate confirmations that the recipient was physically present and not visibly intoxicated.
Signature capture
The recipient signs directly on the phone. The signature is stored with the delivery record.
Refusal flow
A refused delivery is a first-class outcome with a required reason — underage, expired ID, mismatch, visible intoxication or no acceptable ID.

Gopliancy does not retain the recipient's driver's-license number, full date of birth, address from the ID or raw barcode contents.
No ID images
There is no photo of the customer's ID to store, leak or subpoena.
Outcome-only records
The restaurant receives the verification outcome and the handoff record, not a copy of the identity document.
Honest scope
Gopliancy does not claim to authenticate IDs or guarantee that an ID is genuine. The employee still inspects the physical ID.
